  • Manage multiple wallets for different cryptocurrencies, centralizing control and administration of your digital assets.
  • Access your wallets securely, using protective measures such as authentication and encryption.
  • Conduct transactions within the Platform with proper security and integrity of operations performed.

2. Security and Responsibility

myhotwallet uses advanced AES encryption technology to protect your wallets and securely store your recovery keys. However, you remain primarily responsible for the security of your wallets, including but not limited to:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your passwords and recovery keys.
  • Not sharing your access credentials with third parties, ensuring that only you have access to your wallets.
  • Using devices considered secure and protected to access the Platform.
  • It is the User's sole responsibility to securely back up their recovery keys and keep them in a protected location, outside the digital environment, preferably on paper or an offline device. Loss of this information may result in irreversible loss of wallet access.
  • Ensuring that your credentials are not shared with third parties and that secure devices are used to conduct transactions. myhotwallet cannot verify whether a transaction was performed by you or by a third party who has gained unauthorized access to your credentials. Therefore, any transaction performed will be considered authorized, regardless of who executed it.
  • Verifying the authenticity of the website or application used before entering your credentials, ensuring there is no risk of phishing or fraud.
  • Carefully verifying all transaction details before confirming them, including destination addresses and amounts, to avoid errors or fraud.

How our encryption works: Your recovery keys are stored on our servers but are encrypted using the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with additional encryption layers for enhanced security. Additionally, all communication between you and our servers is protected by end-to-end encryption. This means that even if our servers are compromised, your keys remain protected. The decryption key is derived from your personal password, which is not stored by us.

Important notice: While it is possible to recover access to your account, it will not be possible to recover access to your wallet and the funds stored in it without the wallet access credentials, such as password, PIN, or recovery key. myhotwallet does not have technical means to restore wallet access without the appropriate credentials, and the responsibility for keeping these credentials secure is exclusively the user's.

3. Transactions and Third-Party Services

myhotwallet allows you to conduct transactions within the platform. However, to create and send these transactions to the respective blockchain networks, we use trusted third-party services. You should be aware that:

  • Transactions are processed by third-party service providers specialized in blockchain infrastructure.
  • While myhotwallet carefully selects its third-party service providers, you acknowledge that the platform has no direct control over the performance or security of these services. myhotwallet is not responsible for failures in third-party services that may affect transaction processing or data security.
  • Transaction fees may apply according to the specific conditions of the blockchain networks involved and third-party service providers, without myhotwallet having any control over these charges.
  • In addition to transaction fees applied by blockchain networks or third-party services, myhotwallet may charge a service fee for using the platform to process transactions. These fees will be clearly disclosed to the user before transaction confirmation.
  • Transaction processing time may vary depending on blockchain network congestion, as well as other external factors affecting the operation of third-party services used.
  • The display of transaction history, wallet balance, and, in some cases, the execution of transactions may depend on third-party services (such as blockchain explorers, market data providers, or network nodes). These external services may occasionally become unavailable, experience delays, provide temporarily inaccurate data, or even be permanently discontinued, all of which are beyond myhotwallet's control. Such occurrences may impact the display of information on the Platform or the ability to carry out transactions. If a third-party service essential to the Platform's functionality is permanently discontinued, the User understands that it may be necessary to use their recovery keys on another compatible platform to access and manage their assets.

Transaction security: To process transactions, myhotwallet uses different approaches depending on the service. In some cases, transactions are created and signed locally, and only the signed transaction is sent to third-party services. In other cases, to enable specific interactions with smart contracts or advanced functionalities, it may be necessary to temporarily share private keys with selected third-party services. We implement rigorous security protocols to ensure this sharing occurs securely and in a controlled manner.

4. Limitation of Liability

myhotwallet will not be responsible for:

  • Loss of access to your wallets due to forgotten or lost credentials, with account recovery being the User's complete responsibility.
  • Unauthorized transactions resulting from compromise of your access credentials, including but not limited to personal security failures or User negligence.
  • Unauthorized access to your wallet by third parties, regardless of the attack vector or source of compromise, including loss of funds stored therein.
  • Loss of funds due to phishing attacks or other types of social engineering involving improper interaction with the User.
  • Technical problems related to underlying blockchain networks, including failures or interruptions that may affect transaction execution.
  • Fluctuations in cryptocurrency values, with the User being fully aware that the cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and subject to unexpected variations, and may, as a result, reach zero value.
  • Failures, delays, or interruptions in third-party services used for transaction processing.
  • Temporary or permanent unavailability, inaccuracy, or delay in the display of transaction history or wallet balance, as well as difficulties or inability to carry out transactions, when resulting from instabilities, interruptions, overloads, failures, or the permanent discontinuation of external services on which the Platform depends (including, but not limited to, blockchain explorers, network node providers, data APIs, or other third-party infrastructures). In the event of the permanent discontinuation of an external service essential to the operation of certain Platform functionalities, the User acknowledges and agrees that it may be necessary to export the wallet's recovery key and manually import it into another compatible platform or wallet software in order to continue accessing and managing their wallet. This action and the choice of a new platform are the sole responsibility of the User, and do not constitute any failure or liability on the part of myhotwallet.
  • Transactions sent to incorrect addresses due to typing errors or other mistakes made by the User.
  • Transaction fees charged by blockchain networks or third-party services.
  • Loss of account access due to changes in wallet credentials or permanent deletion of the wallet on the Platform, as these actions are the User's responsibility.
  • Manual modifications to server requests, or eventual loss of funds resulting from improper changes to transaction values made by the User.
  • Failures to comply with these Terms of Service due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, telecommunications network failures, cyber attacks, or unforeseen interruptions in blockchain networks.

5. Wallet Ownership

You maintain complete ownership and control over your cryptocurrency wallets. myhotwallet:

  • Stores your recovery keys exclusively in encrypted format using the AES standard and other advanced encryption algorithms to ensure data confidentiality.
  • Does not have access to your private keys in readable format. Such keys remain under your exclusive control and are temporarily decrypted securely with end-to-end encryption only when you access your wallet through authentication with your credentials, exclusively to enable use of Platform features.
  • Processes transactions through the Platform only when initiated by individuals who have access to the account, password, and wallet, and may, when necessary, share private keys with specific services for the execution of such transactions.
  • Does not have access to your funds without proper insertion of your access credentials, fully respecting the security and privacy of your resources.
  • Does not store your password on our servers, ensuring that it remains under your exclusive responsibility and control.
  • Has no means to distinguish between the legitimate account holder and third parties who may eventually gain unauthorized access to credentials. Therefore, the User assumes full responsibility for all transactions conducted through their account.
  • Requires entry of a verification code sent to the registered email address for changing wallet credentials or for permanent deletion on the Platform as an additional security measure.
  • Performs digital wallet generation through an automated process based on cryptographic algorithms, with corresponding private keys created directly on the Blockchain network. The generated information is stored in encrypted form using credentials provided by the User at the time of wallet creation, thus ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and data security. It is clarified that such information is stored exclusively in encrypted format, so that the Platform has no access, under any circumstances, to the readable content (in plain text) of this data. Decryption depends exclusively on credentials provided by the User at the time of wallet creation, or credentials subsequently changed by the User themselves, which are not known, stored, or accessed by the Platform at any time during the process. Additionally, due to the probabilistic and random nature of cryptographic key generation, although statistically unlikely, the possibility cannot be entirely excluded that the generated key may coincide with one already existing on the Blockchain, possibly linked to previous transactions or already registered funds. Such occurrence stems from the randomness of the process and is independent of any conduct or control by the Platform. The User is solely and exclusively responsible for the custody, protection, and secure management of their credentials, private keys, and recovery mechanisms. The Platform does not store, under any circumstances, copies of credentials or private keys in their original or decrypted form, nor does it have any technical means to recover them. For this reason, the Platform cannot, under any circumstances, intervene, restore, or recover wallet access in case of loss, misplacement, or compromise of User credentials, exempting itself from any responsibility arising from such events.

6. Account Security and Transaction Responsibility

It is essential to understand that:

  • Anyone who has access to your device and credentials can conduct transactions on your behalf, which will be considered valid and authorized by the Platform.
  • A verification code will be required for account access if the account has not been accessed for a certain period or if the device used for access is identified as new or unrecognized.
  • myhotwallet adopts security mechanisms to identify the device being used. To ensure the protection of assets, every transaction made through the Platform requires an additional verification, using a code sent to the registered email address, in order to confirm the User's identity. Only after successful verification will it be possible to proceed with the transaction.
  • Despite the security measures adopted, myhotwallet has no technical means to verify with absolute certainty whether the transaction was initiated directly by you or by a third party who has gained access to your credentials.
  • All transactions processed through your account will be considered as properly authorized by you, regardless of who performed them.
  • It is recommended that the User access the Platform only through updated devices and secure networks. The use of outdated browsers, vulnerable operating systems, or public Wi-Fi networks may compromise the security of your wallets.
  • You are fully responsible for maintaining the security of your device, the environment where you use it, and the confidentiality of your access credentials, exempting myhotwallet from any responsibility for damages resulting from negligence or imprudence in this regard.

Security warning: If you suspect that your device has been compromised or that your credentials have been exposed, we recommend that you immediately transfer your assets to a new secure wallet. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be reversed by myhotwallet.

7. Proper Use

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Not use the Platform for the practice of illegal activities.
  • Not attempt, in any way, to compromise the security or integrity of the Platform, including but not limited to unauthorized access attempts.
  • Not use the Platform for money laundering, financing of illegal activities, or any other criminal practice.
  • Fully comply with all laws, regulations, and standards applicable to your jurisdiction, including those governing cryptocurrency transactions.
  • Carefully and accurately verify all transaction details before confirming them, as blockchain transactions are irreversible and cannot be undone after execution.
  • Not create or maintain multiple accounts with the purpose of circumventing limits, technical restrictions, security, or operational restrictions of the Platform. Deliberate creation of multiple accounts for this purpose may result in permanent blocking of the accounts involved, as well as suspension of Platform access.

8. Encryption Security

myhotwallet implements multiple layers of security to protect your data:

  • AES-256 encryption as the primary protection layer, internationally recognized as one of the most secure standards currently available.
  • Additional encryption layers complementary to AES, including cryptographic hash functions and key derivation algorithms, establishing a security architecture based on multiple protection levels.
  • End-to-end encryption applied to all communications between the User's device and Platform servers, as well as to server-side data storage, to prevent interceptions, unauthorized access, and leaks during information transmission and storage.
  • TLS/SSL security protocols implemented in all web connections, with digital certificates updated regularly to ensure the integrity and authenticity of communications.

However, you should be aware that:

  • The security and effectiveness of the encryption mechanisms used also depend on the complexity and strength of the password defined by the User.
  • Strong passwords are required, containing at least 12 (twelve) characters, including letters, numbers, and symbols, as a mandatory security measure.
  • The security protocols used by myhotwallet are updated periodically to keep up with technological advances and mitigate emerging vulnerabilities.
  • Security audits are conducted regularly on our systems to identify and correct potential security flaws.

Multi-layered security: Our layered security approach means that even if one layer is compromised (which is extremely unlikely), your information remains protected by additional layers. This "defense in depth" strategy is considered one of the best practices in cybersecurity.

9. Secure Communication

All communication between your device and the myhotwallet platform is protected by:

  • End-to-end encryption, which ensures that only the User and myhotwallet servers have access to the content of transmitted information.
  • Security protocols responsible for verifying and validating the authenticity of each connection established with the Platform.
  • Intrusion detection and prevention systems that continuously monitor possible attempts at interception or unauthorized access to communications.
  • Digital certificates issued by trusted certification authorities, which guarantee the identity and legitimacy of our servers.

This additional layer of protection ensures that your information remains confidential throughout the transmission process, from your device to our secure servers.

10. Changes to Terms

myhotwallet reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of the platform after publication of updated terms implies acceptance of the new conditions.
